“This is a filmmaking experiment to prove that we are all creative and that anyone can sit in the directors chair.”

So says the credit with which James Murphy’s (LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire‘s new album, DFA) directorial debut starts, as if anyone would ever suggest the hard-working musician and producer was not creative. Anyway, it’s a short film called Little Duck, and tells the story of “a young man pulled from his life in Manhattan back to his home in rural Japan when his estranged brother runs into trouble.”

The film was made as part of Canon Project Imagination which invited celebrities to make short films based on pictures uploaded to their website. Watch below.
