MGMT’s self-titled third studio album is due out on September 17th. All we’ve really seen from it thus far is the video for “Your Life Is A Lie” and a Record Store Day release called “Alien Days.” But the release date is barreling down the corner, and the band has released a weird, gorgeous, but most of all titillating trailer for the album.
It features snippets of five songs and a day in the studio with the band, but the sessions are interrupted once the boys find the beetle bug in the stereo and the NSA realizes they’re being tracked by the Reptoids, and that means that with regards to the album, “the Reptoids already know how good it is.” And I don’t think I have to explain to you what’s gonna happen now that Reptoids know how good it is.
