Sometimes you hear a song and know that it’s been made in the past six months, that it’s very much on whatever current trend is sweeping through music. Other times you hear a song and cannot place its age, and it is those songs that usually have staying power. Flyte’s “Over and Out” is just such a song. Rooted in classic pop songwriting, it could have been made one, ten, or twenty years ago, and with nods to bands like Talking Heads and a catchy chorus, the song bodes well for London band’s debut EP.
