Rising teen star Lorde‘s single “Royals” took a while to catch on, but it’s finally breaking in a major way, and it’s spreading far outside the singer’s homeland of New Zealand. The video has over 4 million views, and with such an infectious chorus and a headnod-inducing beat, it was only a matter of time before a rapper hopped on for the remix. Enter Gilbere Forté. RAAK adds a few production touches, giving the pop gem a little bit of an edge that meshes with Forté’s verse.
