After six years of (relative) silence, Babyshambles are back with their third studio album, Sequel To The Prequel (that colourful picture above is the album cover), and by the sounds of “Farmer’s Daughter,” they’re back to doing what they do best. Led by Pete Doherty’s unmistakeable vocals, which go from the casual semi-slur of the verses to an anthemic, full-blooded chorus, this is a powerful reminder that beyond the headlines and the booze and the drugs, Babyshambles can make bloody good rock songs.

Sequel To The Prequel is out September 2, listen to “Farmer’s Daughter” below, and check out the new album’s first single “Nothing Comes To Nothing” here.
