Forbes Magazine released their annual Celebrity 100 list today which ranks the most powerful celebrities in the world. Oprah took the top spot overall, but surprisingly Lady Gaga was ranked at #2 (making her the top musician on the list) despite not releasing a proper album in the past two years. The magazine calculates the rankings based not only on salary, but also on social networking power, how often they’re mentioned in the media and how desirable they are to fans. And with Lady Gaga’s 38 million Twitter followers, these factors make her #2 spot much more understandable.
