Gold Panda’s breakout debut album Lucky Shiner, a colourful re-contextualisation of dusty hip-hop by experimentally minded British producer Derwin Panda, was released back in 2010, and finally he’s back with his sophomore effort Half Of Where You Live. The LP sees Gold Panda embracing a broader sonic spectrum, introducing field recordings and instruments from across the world alongside vocal samples and drum programming that ranges from the glitchily hyperactive to crisp and precise.

We’d previously heard “Brazil” and “We Work Nights,” but now the whole album is available to stream via NPR. Click here to listen to Half Of Where You Live (released June 11) and make sure to check out eminently danceable highlight “Community.”
