When last we heard from Irish beatsmith Sert One, he was putting a decidedly hip-hop lean on electro pop duo Young Wonder‘s single “Time.” On his remix of Dublin band Slow Skies’ “On The Shore,” he lends a similarly icy, reverb-drenched touch, providing fitting accompaniment for singer Karen Sheridan’s ethereal vocals. Sert gives a bit of grounding to a voice that feels like it could float into the ether, crafting a remix that hews close in spirit to Purity Ring while still capturing his particular brand of slightly glitchy, atmospheric production.
