It’s a good day for remixes, it seems. After Ryan Hemsworth’s technicolor take on Rhye’s “Open“, we now have a Hot Chip remix of “My Number,” from Foals’ excellent album Holy Fire, which is out now, and sees the band maturing both sonically and lyrically. On this remix though, Hot Chip take things into Balearic tinged electronic territory, adding a bouncy backdrop to lead singer Yannis’ irresistible vocals for some anthemic sunshine tinged businesses.
