Gabriel Bruce, the gravelly voiced Londoner who first impressed us with the melancholy “Sleep Paralysis,” and further burnished his reputation with the grandiose “Perfect Weather” is back with something a little more upbeat. “Cars Not Leaving” is an anthemic, piano-backed, almost Springsteen-esque number than counterpoints Bruce’s brooding baritone with a stadium-filling chorus.
