A few days late, but sometimes the wait is worth it–and when things slow down a bit, you’ve got more of a chance to savor rather than skim. Kami de Chukwu sent “Vacation” over at the start of the week in honor of an unfortunate “vacation” crew member Eddie Mon$ta is taking at the moment.
Brooding, bumping, and wintry, “Vacation” sounds like the first steps into an abyss, with Thelonious Martin’s beat setting a tone that fits both emcees voices well. To be sure, Mon$ta and Kami each acquit themselves nicely, but the latter’s verse is particularly inspired, a high octane exercise in syllable stacking. Not bad for a loosie. Check it out below.
