We were introduced to production duo BenZel (consisting of 15 year-old Umi Takahashi and 16 year-old Yoko Watanabe) through their sumptuously airy remix of Jessie Ware‘s “If You Love Me.” The group continues their skillful 90s R n’ B sampling on “Fallin’ Love,” here taking SWV’s “Can We,” transforming their source material into a thumping, dense instrumental. The result packs familiarity cloaked in modern production technique and aesthetics. Another impressive entry in the youngsters’ catalog.
