Another brilliant track from the recently returned Fryars, as he follows up “Love So Cold” with a slightly more upbeat, but still melancholia-tinged piece of experimental electronic-pop. All the constituent parts of “In My Arms” are melded together perfectly; from the Eastern-tinged strings, to the instantly catchy chorus, to the bed of crisp, speedy percussion, this really is a wonderful piece of music. The rather bizarre, but appropriate video is surprisingly watchable, and adds another dimension to the experience. Let us hope and pray for a new Fryars album sometime soon.
