Exactly one week ago the first material from Villagers‘ forthcoming sophomore album {Awayland} was released, and it was a bold and wholly successful move away from the acoustic sound of their subtle, dark first album. Today they release “Passing A Message” to the world, and it suggests that the fuller, punchier sound we heard on “The Waves” was not a one off but a whole new direction for the band.
