I’m this close to just completely not caring about Muse anymore. This has been the case for years, and then when they “went dubstep” on their new album, The 2nd Law, it was something of a breaking point. Then I heard “Madness.” Ok, it’s not really dubstep, guys. Their music is still grandiose, obvious, and corny like the soundtrack to a mediocre apocalypse movie, but if you’ve ever sat through one of those movies, you know there’s something endearing there. That’s kind of how my relationship with Muse is, and seeing them play live just confirms it: I’m not completely over Muse. Even with their corny computer guitar, these guys are as tight as any band out there. Watch below.
