Instrumental tapes can be a tough sell; knowing that, producer Caleb Stone seems to have taken cues from producers like Clams Casino and TNGHT, cramming every inch of space on his mixtape Sleepy Bitches with mysterious sounds, atmospheric wails, and plenty of bass. His remix of singer Bago‘s “I Forget You” recasts a sultry rejection of an old lover into a disjointed wall of sound fitted with speaker consuming low end, while opening track “HORSE DAYTONA” incorporates disjointed vocals and distorted instruments to memorable effect.
