No Doubt - "Settle Down (Major Lazer Remix)"

1.

No Doubt’s comeback single, “Settle Down,” just got a whole lot better. The original had a little spunk, but ultimately it felt a little corny and not very inventive. With nostalgia at an all-time high, we all wanted to like the new No Doubt song, but then Gwen Stefani started singing about being “hella positive for real,” and we were all like, “ugh, Gwen.”

The song needed a push, and Major Lazer provides the right amount of force and over-the-top electronics to give the musical backdrop the muscles it needs to overpower the melodic and lyrical weaknesses.
