Admit it, when you hear the name Big Baby Gandhi, you’re immediately skeptical. But this Queens rapper, co-signed by Das Racist, is no joke. Well, not really. He’s got some of the same deadpan humor that Das Racist is known for, but he can rap his ass off. He’s got a borderline yelling flow, but it works well for him, especially over the quirky, lo-fi production from Hot Sugar and Steel Tipped Dove. If you’ve been dismissing this guy as a joke, put on your serious face and give this a listen.
