Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, Indians are creating some seriously despondent beauty, tangentially opposed to the sunny pop perfection we’re accustomed to hearing from their Scandinavian neighbors. This particular track, which happens to be their debut single, seems steeped in melancholy without ever shaking off the pretty, near-catchy effect the delicate instrumentals establish. The result is a slow burn of a wistfully sad song, with lyrics like “There are lights in your eyes, but your eyes don’t see anymore” characterizing the whole thing.
