Simian Ghost make music that’s just perfect for your Sundays. Melodic, dreamy and full of sparkling electronic soundscapes over which Sebastian Arnström layers his sugary sweet vocals, this is the kind of music that you can really sit back and get lost in. Coming on like a slightly less muscular Phoenix, or the soundtrack to some sort of heavenly disco, there is enough of a pop edge to hook you on first listen, and the depth, both lyrically and production wise, to reel you in for play upon play.
Simian Ghost is the solo project of the aforementioned Mr Arnström, who is joined by little brother Erik Klinga and high school friend Mathias Zachrisson for live performances. This Swedish trio have performed with big names such as SBTRKT and Mount Kimbie over the past year, and they are certainly ones to watch out for in 2012, with their LP Youth being released on March 5th, and the first single from that album “Wolf Girl” (out January 16th) available to stream now.
