Album Stream: Cloud Nothings - 'Attack On Memory'

As great as the whole indie scene is, sometimes they get caught up with a trendy sound and beat it to death. Right now, a lot of these bands are doing what Cloud Nothings‘ lead singer Dylan Baldi calls, “hazy, electronic-y nostalgic music.” With this album, he got Nirvana producer Steve Albini and set out to make something that sets the band apart from that scene.

Attack On Memory is a straight up rock album that is as clear with its intentions as it is with the blistering sound of electric guitars and pounding drums. Nothing hazy about this one, and it makes for a great listen, especially if you’ve been drowning yourself in bedroom pop and hipster lo-fi. Give it a listen below.
