For a big man, Action Bronson did it pretty big in 2011. No (big) pun intended of course. He realized the release of his album Dr. Lecter, XXL included him in their Freshman Class nomination pool and he was featured on his fair share of tracks and cameos. For the New Year Bronson has teamed up with the one-man songwriter/remixer/producer project known as Party Supplies to record this track “Contemporary Man”.
The song is an orgy of samples covering everything from Perter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer” to John Mellencamp’s “Jack and Diane”. There are even some random Charlie Sheen quotes mixed in just for shits. As Johnny Carson used to say “that, that is some weird, wild stuff”. The pair are also reportedly working on a full collaboration effort titled Blue Chips, which is slated to drop in February, so be on the look out for that.
