10 Pieces Of Advice From Rappers and Rock Stars

1.

With The Redesign a lot of changes has come for Pigeons & Planes. The new look has rejuvenated our sense of self-worth, opening the flood gates for new ideas, possibilities, and *gasp* goals. It marks a turning point in the life of this site, and it has us taking a step back and trying to gain some perspective. We need all the advice we can get.

When it comes to seeking out advice, everyone has their sources. Some trust their family–the people who have known them the longest and (maybe) understand them the best. Others turn to their like-minded friends. For a few, the best advice comes from fortune cookies and public bathroom graffiti. These are the people who end up cooking meth in Middle America, wondering where they went wrong. (Fun fact: did you know Missouri has the highest number of reported meth labs?)

We at Pigeons & Planes have always disregarded the advice of family and friends. Instead, we’ve found that it’s the rock stars and rap legends that really know what’s up. Why listen to Mom or your lame best friend Todd when you could take direction from 2Pac himself? Has “Mom” ever rapped on stage in front of thousands of screaming fans? Has “Todd” ever smashed a guitar? With that in mind, we decided to compile some of our favorite pieces of advice from musicians. Now go make something of your life.
