A number of remixes off of Death Cab For Cutie‘s forthcoming Codes And Keys Remix EP have been released such as Cut Copy‘s, and now we have one from the Brooklyn-based band, Yeasayer. They put their own spin on “Codes And Keys” through upping the fun of the piano chord progression heard in the original and replacing the keys with synths and strings. The result is the removal of Death Cab’s signature despondent, though lovely, sound, and in place is a track that is more reminiscent of Ben Gibbard’s old side project, The Postal Service. The remix EP will be released on November 22nd.
