Leopard Of Honour - "Palais Royal-Blue"

1.

If you enjoyed the lush Joe Goddard track “Valentina” that I posted last week, then this one from newcomer David Roocroft aka Leopard Of Honour is definitely for you. Just like the artwork above, there is a slightly hazy feel to “Palais Royal-Blue”, especially with the distorted and robotic vocals, but these sonic cobwebs are blown away by that crisp, smile inducing synth line that comes in around the 35 second mark. This could work in a club full of drunk people,  but also works as a warm, relaxing bedroom jam. And I like the idea of an honourable leopard. So you should probably listen to this track.

Give it a (virtual) spin below, and if you’re one of those crazy old people who actually owns a record player, you can pre-order the vinyl which is out September 10th here. Check out LOH’s Bandcamp for some more chilled out sounds, and a sweet remix of Toro Y Moi.
