Here’s newest track to come out of M83‘s upcoming album, Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming. After first single “Midnight City” dropped it was already shaping up to be something to get excited about – that song was M83 at his absolute best. The opening track from the record does nothing to dispel the hype, a collaboration with Zola Jesus that is not quite as poppy, but still a phenomenal track.
As far as ways to start an album, this is one of the best. It’s the kind of track that seems like it can start anything. Opening credits for a movie? Perfect. If books had soundtracks I would imagine this could work there too. First chapter swag. This is getting filed this away with The xx’s “Intro,” “No Church In The Wild” and a few other great openers.
