RAC (Remix Artist Collective) routinely takes songs that are already good, like Alex Winston’s “Velvet Elvis,” and molds them to fit their own vision. They must have never heard that old phrase about not fixing things that aren’t broken. That’s fine by me. It seems the collective of remix artists can do no wrong.
Even if you’re slightly attached to the original, they always manage to add an interesting twist. It’s like, you love your dog, but put him in a funny hat, and maybe some sunglasses. You’ll be surprised at how much you still love him and how entertained you will undoubtedly be when you see him wearing human accessories. I guess it’s not really like that, but you know what I mean.
