I’ve always liked and supported Dom Kennedy‘s music, mostly because he is from L.A., like me. Then I saw him in concert with Big Sean and Chip Tha Ripper. Now I’m an all-out fan. When I heard that he released a mixtape (practically) unannounced, I ran to a computer to check a few tracks out. Just from the ten minutes of listening, I knew this was going to be a kind mixtape. Dom can take it to that old school L.A sound, like he did on “The Homies” and then switch it up over a psychedelic type beat on tracks like “Goodbye”. He rounds off the tape with my personal favorite, a track called “CDC” that features Casey Veggies and cARTer.

Name start with a D/but I sound like a G on it.

One thing that caught my eye about this tape is the fact it only has two features. This really gives Dom a chance to shine and showcase his own skills, and that’s exactly what he does. Hit the jump for the track list and download link.
