J-Slugz has shown love to Pigeons and Planes in the past with his freestyles in P&P shirts. The freestyles showcased J-Slugz’s raw talent and I was proud that he was repping P&P. The man behind the music is a young emcee from the Bronx with a “fuck bitches, get money” attitude, and he just dropped his mixtape Thoughts On Paper.
On this mixtape, it’s not so much about what he says, but how he says it. At the end of most songs, I couldn’t tell you “the point”, but I could give you five quotable one liners. It’s the kind of shit that’s going to have some people whining about content and originality and other people quoting J-Slugz on Twitter and jacking his punchlines. Personally, I approve.
