After saying in June that she wanted to connect with Travis Scott to perform together again and receiving the same interest in return, SZA surprised the crowd at her Houston gig by having the rapper join her onstage to perform their hit song “Love Galore.”
Of course, some ecstatic fans captured the moment in Trav’s native Houston as he joined SZA to perform in the fairly intimate Warehouse Live venue:
Before the special moment, SZA also shared that the upcoming stops on the brief tour will be her last performances before she drops her heavily anticipated next studio album, the follow-up to June 2017’s Ctrl.
She also shouted out her niece Imani for opening for her:
It looks like Travis is gearing up for his upcoming album as well.
The Houston rapper just announced that he’ll be dropping a new Utopia single, using a tabloid-style newspaper as cover art.
Travis played new pieces of music both at Rolling Loud Miami over the summer and Rolling Loud New York last weekend. The rapper teased the song on his Instagram before the Miami performance, too:
Along with the excitement around his new music, Travis is also giving back to his community. He just unveiled a new basketball court and community garden in Houston:
This is all leading up to the explosive weekend Trav is about to have at his annual Astroworld Festival.
