Ahead of the release of her upcoming mixtape Rx, Rico Nasty enlists rising Atlanta rapper Bktherula for her latest single “Vaderz.”
Produced by Ben10k, Danes Blood, and Dirty Dave, the new track arrives alongside a music video co-directed by Rico and Marco Alexander.
“This ain’t no double life, bitch it’s really the way that I live/Talk down on us, then you might lose a limb/I be stepping on bitches like I’m wearing Timbs,” Rico raps on her showstopping verse.
The DMV rapper’s first solo offering of 2022, “Vaderz” follows the string of singles Rico dropped in 2021—“Money” featuring Flo Milli, “Magic,” and “Buss.” All four are expected to appear on Rx.
Way back in May 2021, Rico took to Instagram to tease the tape’s arrival by posting a picture of what appeared to be the project’s cover art, writing, “Rx. This summer.”
Rx will serve as the official follow-up to Rico’s 2020 debut studio album Nightmare Vacation. Released at the tail end of 2020, Rico wrote and recorded the LP while stuck inside during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
