Pusha-T is working on new musicaccording to a video from Spotify.

“I’m working on an extremely special project to me right now which I am not going to get into,” Pusha said when asked “what’s next?” “It’s just all about music and staying competitive and just showing that there is a space for what it is that I do in hip-hop...and that what I do in hip-hop is the most credible space and takes the most talent...and is just… the realest.”

The project would serve as the follow-up to his critically acclaimed album It’s Almost Dry, which sported features from Jay-Z, Kanye West, Don Toliver, Lil Uzi Vert, Kid Cudi, Pharrell Williams, and more. The project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, moving 55,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.

Speaking with Complex in March, Push said It’s Almost Dry served to “heighten” the art of his entire discography.

“This is a legacy thing with me,” he said at the time. “This is all about being great. This is all about making sure that the subgenre of street rap is seen at the highest levels, and can compete with everything that’s popular. This is the realest real estate in hip-hop, and I’m the Martin Scorsese of it.”

Pusha-T’s relentless work ethic should come as no surprise. In a separate interview with NME, Push said he could easily keep making music forever.

“A lot of our forefathers, the greats, they didn’t stand the test of time,” Pusha told the publication. “As great as they were, I don’t know how much they are [still] appreciated. [I want] to show that rap doesn’t have to age out. When people look at me, they need to understand that I can do this forever.”
