Back in June, rising Hackney-born artist Amaria BB fused the worlds of R&B and dancehall for her breakout single, “Slow Motion”, and now she’s back with another dose in “Fundz”.

This time teaming up with Jamaica’s Skillibeng—fresh off his own hot streak—it was clear bringing the two together would result in magic. Like a tropical paradise in song form, Amaria BB’s patois-tinged vocal runs meet Skillibeng’s party-starting rhymes for a track that’s bound to be requested in dance-halls up and down the land. With a track so heavily immersed in Jamaican culture, it was only right the video was shot on location. Featuring picturesque landscapes, lush waterfalls and street parties, the visuals enrich the experience by giving the viewer a whistle-stop tour of the Caribbean Island.

“Skilli is a real one,” Amaria told Complex over email. “We connected on a different, subconscious level. He already knew the team I was in Jamaica with, so that helped with the chemistry. For me, being in Jamaica is no different from being in my bits in Hackney, but Skilli still went out of his way to make me feel welcome. We approached ‘Fundz’ on different waves, but it worked like a sweet and savoury dish.”
