NLE Choppa has released his introspective new song “Yak Flow,” addressing his place in the hip-hop world while laying out some of his biggest aspirations.

Atop moody production, Choppa raps in a laid back but emotional delivery that sees him demanding to get the respect he says he deserves. “Everybody forgot about me and the work I put in,” he opens the track, which has a big focus on his family and his hopes to have more children. “I just want to get my flowers before I rest in peace.”

It’s unclear if the track is from a forthcoming project, but it’s evident the rapper is exploring new sounds as he continues to build on his popularity.

The release of “Yak Flow” follows last month’s “The Gender Reveal Song,” which he released after his girlfriend Marissa Da’Nae suffered a miscarriage. “Talking bout this is so hard,” wrote Da’Nae alongside a photo of NLE Choppa, whose real name is Bryson Potts. “But with Bryson next to me and being my supporter, this has helped me more. Losing our Son is so hard for me, I couldn’t function. But he has pulled me through and I’m thankful to have you by my side and with me along this journey.”
