At the end of last month, British-Nigerian artist Naira Marley finally made good on the promises made by singles like “O’dun” and “Kojosese” with the release of his debut album, God’s Timing’s The Best

Understandably, he’s still revelling in the success of the project because he’s just come back with a video to its latest single, “Montego Bay”. The tempo’s a little lower than the last extract, “O’dun”—both of which were produced by Nigeria’s Rexxie—but “Montego Bay” is more about escapism than partying. If the former was about living in the moment, the latter focuses on getting away from it all; finding that perfect woman and stretching out on a sandy beach somewhere hot and secluded.
