In an interview on the Angie Martinez Show, Dipset rapper Jim Jones said he hasn’t spoken with Cam’ron since they faced off against The LOX for their Verzuz.

Around the 25-minute mark of the interview, as Vlad TV pointed out, Jones opened up about the event, which went down in August last year. He suggested he was “over the night” when he first walked onstage, because “there was too much going on” and he thought the setting wasn’t quite right. Jim conceded that “the energy was there” and it was “dope,” but also revealed he wanted to do the Verzuz badly enough that he offered to give Cam’ron his own earnings to convince him.

“When Cam gets an interview, he’s going to say, ‘This is something that Jim wanted, he offered to give me his money to do this event,’” he said. “Yes, n***a, I did.” Asked if Cam might’ve regretted his involvement in the Verzuz, which many said went to The LOX with their lively performance, he replied with a laugh. “I don’t know, I haven’t spoken to him since the Verzuz.”

Jim was also asked if Cam is “mad” about any of it, shrugging it off and saying, “I don’t know, Cam making a shitload of money, who cares. … Cam don’t care about too much, he makes money and that’s what he cares about.” Jones said Cam walked away with the most cash from the Verzuz, and when asked how Killa made so much, the Capo started laughing and said, “He’s a businessman, he got a few business ventures out there.”
