FXXXY and Uzi go searching for the planet the rapper just purchased in the new tripped-out visuals for “Yeah Kool.” Directed by animator Yung Kazi and produced by PRTND Studios, the unique claymation style of animation used in the video allows for every lyric to be more accentuated as Uzi and FXXXY’s heads float across space. The late rapper linked up with Uzi right before his untimely passing, meeting him when he worked with Future on their joint project, Pluto x Baby Pluto. “Yeah Kool” initially dropped in April, six months after FXXXXY released his posthumous debut album Do You Trust Me? last December.
FXXXXY passed away last year while undergoing a routine medical procedure. The Dallas rapper/producer was signed to Future’s label FreeBandz and contributed to High Off Life and Pluto x Baby Pluto. An IGA spokesperson released an official statement following FXXXY’s death to let his fans know what had happened.
“We are all deeply saddened by the sudden and unexpected passing of FXXXXY and offer our sincerest condolences to his family, his team, friends and thousands of fans,” the statement read. “Everyone who came into FXXXXY’s orbit was moved by his positive energy and spirit. His talent was undeniable, IGA Executive Vice President Joie Manda said in a statement. “He was an important member of our IGA family and it’s heartbreaking that he was taken from all of us too soon.”
