Drake is currently celebrating the release of his project, If You're Reading This It's Too Late, with a successful tour in Australia, and while fans wait for his next line of shows in the U.S., fake promoters are taking advantage. According to TMZ, a promoter that is not affiliated with Drake or OVO lined up a series of shows in May and even booked the events with arenas in cities such as Houston and Miami. The scam went so far that fans were purchasing tickets to the shows for upwards of $350, even though Drake didn't know, nor have any intention to perform at the concerts.

Through our own sources, we were able to obtain an email that The Arena Theater in Houston sent out to fans informing them that the show was not legit and that they would be offering full refunds to customers. The email can be seen below. Drake and his team are reportedly asking fans to notify the police if the scam continues, and we will continue to update as more information is made available.
