Mac Miller recently sat down for the A Waste of Time podcast with ItsTheReal, and per usual, he dished out plenty of gems from start to finish. He once again spoke about his journey to get clean, and revealed that legendary producer Rick Rubin played a major part in that process. "I didn't want to go to a rehab facility, so I called Rick Rubin," Mac said.

Throughout the hour-long conversation, Mac also talked about a few of his projects that he was working on that haven't been released to this point, like his Pharrell collaboration, Pink Slime. He never put out the EP because he wanted to establish his own identity as an artist during that time, and thus wanted to focus on his Watching Movies album. "It was dope! We put an EP together. And that was right before the resurgence of Pharrell happened. I would've looked cool," Mac said. He also revealed that one of the songs they worked on ended up on Travis Scott's Rodeo album, though he wouldn't say which one. It seems likely that the song was "Flying High," which Pharrell is a credited producer on in the liner notes of the album.

More surprisingly, he says he planned on putting out a Christmas album with Cam'ron. "He wanted to do it like Step Brothers-themed. Looking back, I wish I [put it out]. But I've made, like, nine albums before putting this one [GOOD:AM] out," Mac said.

Mac's new album, GOOD:AM, is set to drop later this month, but we can only hope that he decides to put out some of these projects at some point in the future. Check out the full stream of the podcast below, and pre-order Mac's new album on iTunes here
