Last week, news broke that Beanie Sigel had been involved in a shooting in Pleasantville, New Jersey, where he was critically injured and immediately rushed into surgery for wounds in his abdomen and back. While reports indicated that the injuries were at first considered life-threatening, it was later reported that Beanie was awake in the hospital after surgery.

After going through most of the week with few updates on Beanie's status, Philly.com is now reporting that though he is stable, Beanie is still in critical condition. The report also states that Beanie can only currently breathe with the help of a ventilator and is unable to speak.

Police originally found Beanie in the basement of his brother-in-law's house, and though they don't consider Beans' brother-in-law, Umar Salahuddin, a suspect, he has refused to cooperate thus far. Police believe that Beanie, who had just dropped his kids off at school, was simply in the "wrong place at the wrong time" during the shooting. Details remain limited in this case, but we will continue to update the story when more information is made available.
