UK underground producer and DJ, p-rallel, has been doing the rounds this year. After releasing his three-track Boundaries EP in October, the soft-spoken 18-year-old's blend of smooth, R&B-flavoured sounds and laid back hip-hop, demonstrated further by last year's Soul Trip project, has highlighted him into further recognition. A proud cohort of the Elevation Meditation collective, p-rallel provides a musical backbone for the crew to shine via his production. Returning to the music once again, he links up with fellow EM brethren Louis Culture and Finn Foxell on "Cold".
Another chill number co-produced by p-rallel and Killowen, with subtle drum work and nimble guitar plucks that paradoxically harken back to a warmer season, Culture uses his bars as an ode to his South London home, while Foxell is introspective, intent on self-improvement. One listen and you're immediately taken in by the collective's synergy. "Me and Killowen came together on the beat, invited Louis and Finn over for a session then this song was created," p-rallel told Complex over email. "Not too many people know it's me on the hook too."
