For many artists, subjecting yourself to an interview is arguably the worst possible thing you could do with your (extremely limited) time. The questions are either boring, indistinguishable from outlet to outlet, or both. Not to mention, there are traditionally absolutely zero awesome dogs involved with the interviewing process. Well, until now.
Wyclef Jean, a legend by any definition, joined a bunch of adorable dogs for the inaugural episode of cats' least favorite show, Hounded. During the insightful chat, Wyclef touched on everything from his childhood years in Haiti to the last time he felt my personal favorite emotion: embarrassment.
At the behest of a particularly fantastic dog, Wyclef also revealed the last time he cried. "I was watching the Whitney Houston documentary, the record comes on, 'my love is your love and your love is my love,' and just remembering, like, being in the studio with her and writing that song and seeing how happy she was," Wyclef recalled in the first episode of Pigeons & Planes' latest surefire hit.
The song Wyclef mentioned, of course, is the title track to Whitney's 1998 album of the same name.
Wyclef released his eighth album Carnival III: The Fall and Rise of a Refugee earlier this month. To celebrate the album's release, Complex premiered the official video for the single "Borrowed Time."
