Whack World, the debut studio effort from Philly artist Tierra Whack, rightfully landed on a multitude of best-of lists in 2018. With the album's one year anniversary approaching later this month, she recently reflected on the journey in a new interview with Tim Westwood, complete with a two-minute freestyle.

"Everything's so, like, saturated nowadays," Tierra said about five minutes into their discussion. "So if you wanna, like, make an impact, you gotta do something different. Do something new. Bring something new to the table because everybody's doing it, so it's hard to really be seen and heard. I was in the lab for a long time before I actually, like, put stuff out."

Later, she was asked to define what she felt her "lyrical lane" was. "I just call myself an artist, really," Tierra said. "I don't have a title yet." Tierra and Tim also chopped it up about Coachella, 2 Chainz's meticulously clean vehicles, potatoes, and more. See the full thing below.

For the freestyle portion, available up top, Tierra came through with some instaclassic lines ("swag on Michelle Obama/book a trip to Ghana") and a DJ Khaled shout.

This year has seen a number of new singles from Tierra Whack, including "Clones" and "Unemployed." In March, she made her national late night TV debut with performances of "Only Child" and "Hungry Hippo" on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
