UPDATED July 22 11:10 a.m. ET:
Saturday, photographic evidence emerged of the planned collaboration between Partynextdoor and Kanye West.
It was essentially a “no caption needed” moment, as Party tweeted out a photo of he and West talking.
Original story below:
Partynextdoor has quite a few notable collaborations in the pipeline. In a trio of emoji-assisted tweets Thursday, the OVO Sound signee revealed he has new music on the way with Kanye West, Ne-Yo, and T-Pain.
Though PND didn't elaborate further on these collaborations, a response from the official @AppleMusic account to his tweet about new music with West seems worth pointing out:
Reports of West being hard at work in the studio, possibly on multiple projects at once, have flooded headlines recently. Earlier this month, West was seen clearly vibing out to a mystery project while in the studio with Migos. In June, a pair of presumably unfinished West tracks surfaced featuring Young Thug, ASAP Rocky, and—interestingly enough—Migos.
Back in November, PND referenced West's extensive production history with Jay Z when discussing his plans for OVO co-founder Drake. "I competitively want to produce just as many records for Drake as Kanye West did for Jay Z," he told Toronto-based publication Now. "I want to write just as much as Kanye may have for whomever Kanye has written for."
PND also detailed his admiration for West's creative journey. "When I was younger I was influenced by Kanye, his story of coming up and how he kept producing and producing and saying, 'I'm more than just a producer. I'm more than just a writer. I'm more than just a guy in the studio here to give you ideas. I have a story,'" he said.
PND's most recent release was last month's four-track project Colours 2. His most recent full-length was 2016's Partynextdoor 3, featuring the single "Come and See Me" with Drake.
