In a recent chat with Billboard, Tyga confirmed the track's heavy nightlife inspiration and revealed that Kanye West hit him up with the highest of praise after catching the video Tyga co-directed with Arrad Rahgoshay. "Once we shot the video, I just knew, like, it felt right," Tyga said. "We dropped it, like, the first day and all the reactions, it was crazy. It got like a million views the first day, something crazy. Kanye hit me up and he's like 'Man, this is the best video of all time.' So that was cool that he checked the video out soon as it came out. He was . . . one of the first people on it, so that was dope."
Since first dropping Taste back in May, Tyga has linked with Iggy Azalea for "Kream" and released several new solo cuts and videos. In a freestyle over YG's hit "Big Bank" last month, Tyga called himself "the best rap-er-er."
