Cardi B Is 'Sick and Tired' of People Trying to Discredit Her

Don't come for Cardi B. Someone thought it would be a good idea to attempt to publicly discredit the rapper's career, a decision that immediately backfired.

A veritable dumbass had the audacity to question the legitimacy of Cardi B's career, resulting in a prompt and detailed response from Cardi herself.

"I'm thankful for ["Bodak Yellow"] 'cause it had people and even the label believe in me," Cardi, in response to the dumbass's theory that her career had been purchased by the powers that be. "YOU [CAN’T] BUY THE GENERAL PUBLIC NO MACHINE NO MONEY CAN'T BUY THAT!"

Cardi, looking back on her first attempt at a big Atlantic single and how discouraged she felt at the time, then confirmed she's understandably exhausted with dumbasses such as this particular dumbass constantly trying to discredit the hard work she's put into her life and career.

Meanwhile, those of us who reside on the not-a-dumbass side of life have a decent assortment of Cardi B festival dates later to choose from later this year in lieu of that Bruno Mars tour. As previously announced, Cardi—who had been announced as support on Bruno Mars' 24K Magic Tour back in February—has decided to skip those dates so she can spend more time with her and Offset's baby Kulture. "I'm not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it's not healthy for her to be on the road," Cardi, who had originally planned to bring Kulture with her for the Mars dates, said last month.

Next month, Cardi will join the Weeknd and Janet Jackson for the Global Citizen Festival in New York City.
