ASAP Bari was arrested in Pennsylvania Thursday and hit with felony charges.
According to TMZ, Bari was arrested Thursday in Palmer Township and later charged with two counts of manufacturing, delivery or possession with intent to distribute. That's according to the publication's "law enforcement sources," who did not disclose exactly what sort of drugs resulted in the charges.
Additionally, Bari was accused of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance, both misdemeanor counts. He has since been released from the Northampton County Prison after bonding out on a $25,000 bail.
Earlier this year, the VLONE co-founder filed a defamation suit against a woman who accused him of sexual assault. In court documents, Bari reportedly argued that the woman had engaged in "defamation and civil extortion for allegedly pressuring him into settling." A lawyer representing the woman later responded, calling Bari's cross complaint "specious." At the time, TMZ noted that a criminal case against Bari for alleged sexual assault was moving forward.
Back in September, Kanye West temporarily paused his public embrace of fascism to chime in on Bari and the late XXXTentacion. West, however, did not mention the video of Bari that surfaced online that Bari later said was "misleading." "Bari challenged me when no one else did and when he got in trouble I was scared to say he was my friend," West said, adding that this was the result of "robots" controlling him.
