As we kicked off Sweetener eve, Ariana Grande joined James Corden for a round of Carpool Karaoke.
After opening their Los Angeles traffic jaunt with a run-through of Grande's 2016 cut "Dangerous Woman," the two discussed Jaws-themed birthday parties for an understandable amount of time, then launched into "Side to Side," a quick bit from Celine Dion's "It's All Coming Back to Me Now," "God Is a Woman," "No Tears Left to Cry," and—quite impressively—an entry from the Little Shop of Horrors soundtrack.
Asked to detail the "weirdest" rumors she's read about herself in various preposterous headlines, Grande pointed to the unfortunate prevalence of pregnancy nonsense. "Tons of pregnancy stuff," she told Corden. "People really want me to be pregnant. They want it so bad. Every other week, there's, like, a pregnancy thing."
As for that apparently-popular-enough-to-mention-on-TV theory that she is carried everywhere she goes, Grande isn't having that either. "That's so stupid," she said. "Are you crazy?"
Grande's Sweetener, which also features the Nicki Minaj collab "The Light Is Coming," is out Friday.
