London-based alt-pop trio STIIR return today and inject some much-needed colour into the week with their new single "Heartstrings". STIIR drummer Prem Rupawala is behind the production on this one, and the result is another neat package of fuzzy strings and warm melodies, picking up from the terrain of July single "Pressure".

Band member Ruben leads the breakdown and explains the chorus as "feeling a certain way towards someone, no matter what changes; even if things were to change and you weren't with them anymore. It's the kind of love that doesn't care about circumstance or context."

The next date for STIIR is at Manchester's Polo on October 31, but before then, dive into "Heartstrings" below.
