Leading the charge within the experimental and collaborative wing of Nigeria's rising new wave, Santi first caught our attention over a year ago with his Suzie's Funeral EP and standout cut, "Gangsta Fear", featuring Odunsi. Today, Santi returns with "Freaky", his new single produced by Monster Boys' Genio, with fellow risers Nonso Amadi and Bridge bringing in the rough and the smooth in equal measure.

Taken from his upcoming, as-yet-untitled EP, "Freaky" places Santi's willingness to fuse a range of genre influences with more stripped-back percussion, somewhere in-between dancehall and contemporary Afrobeats, resulting in a dark but very textured sound. It's an exciting new dawn for Santi and others occupying a similar space, all of them willing to harness the creative energy of their current generation.

Out tomorrow (Aug. 10) via Monster Boy Music, stream "Freaky" exclusively below.

UPDATE (Sept. 3): The official video has landed.
